In this episode, Kate explains peripheral edema (fluid retention in the feet, ankles and lower legs), what causes it, and how a sluggish lymphatic system contributes to swelling, heaviness and discomfort.
Kate shares practical solutions that will help reduce and manage fluid retention including gentle movement, Pilates and breath work, dry brushing, leg elevation, and nutrition tips (potassium, magnesium, vitamin B6 and dandelion).
She also discusses some simple daily habits to improve circulation, reduce swelling and support lymphatic drainage.
